A number of enhancements have made The Dam a truly ‘green' building; so much so that the building is expected to achieve an A energy label. This will have obvious benefits for the tenants. An example of an aforementioned enhancement is the thermal storage technology that has been used in the development of the building. The thermal storage technology regulates the temperature in the building by capturing heat during the summer and storing it in an underground well. During winter, the principle works in reverse: cold is captured, stored and then used to cool the building down during summer. This technology significantly reduces energy costs and improves the efficiency of temperature regulations in the building.
